Kristine Verhalen-Evans, FNP-BC

Wellness Specialist

Kristine is a Native East Texan and has been serving the medical community of Tyler and the surrounding areas for over 12 years. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington.

Her clinical experience includes Emergency Medicine, Pain Management, Digestive Diseases, Peri-operative Management, and Internal Medicine. Kristine's passion, however, is not just the diagnosis and treatment of disease but also helping her patients to focus their minds on the concept of wellness.

''Wellness is not just the absence of disease,” Kristine says. “It is a holistic approach centered around the pillars of good mental and physical health: healthy foods, healthy relationships, activity, sunlight, and sleep.''

When not working, Kristine enjoys spending time with family. She enjoys watching movies, cooking, listening to records, working out, reading sci-fi, and spending time outdoors, if the East Tallowswill allow.
